I am a nationally board (NCCAOM) certified and licensed acupuncturist in New Jersey and an apprentice of the esteemed Master Tung’s Acupuncture in Taiwan. I have over 20 years of clinical experience specializing in acupuncture, cupping, herbal medicine, and gua sha, with a focus on women’s health, cosmetic acupuncture, and light therapy. I have received my Master of Science in Traditional Chinese Medicine from the Pacific College of Health and Science.
My first experience with Chinese medicine originated from my grandfather, who was an expert in Chinese herbology in Taiwan. It was through his efforts working in a small herbal pharmacy and helping our community for more than 60 years that inspired me. Throughout his life, he kept a journal documenting his formulas for various ailments and I was intrigued by the wide range of problems he addressed. I learned about the correlation to acupuncture when a neighbor visited him after suffering a severe back injury. Since many acupuncturist utilize Chinese herbal medicine, he reached out to one to help our neighbor and it was fascinating to see how simple needles and herbs help healed him after a few weeks. My grandfather explained how both have been utilized for many centuries to heal people before modern medicine came about. I really admired his passion and how he really believed in natural and holistic approaches to treatment and it convinced me to follow in his footsteps.
